The Novice A kids brought in a 9 game winning streak going into their Silver Sticks Finals tournament in St Clair Shores, Michigan. There was a few things different playing in the U.S. for the first time. Blue pucks, no delayed offsides and no slapshots. Eleven of the best Novice A teams across Ontario and the Northern U.S awaited.

Congratulation Novice A!!! The kids fought hard, battled in every corner pushed back every attack and earned the moniker the Cardiac Kids as well as a 5-0 record. Their will was great. They had twice been finalists and would not accept the same fate this time. It's off to the North American Silver Stick Finals!!!

For Novice A the Doug Robinson Memorial in Lincoln was our first ever Away Tournament. We were faced with the task of having 3 first place teams of their league divisions in our group of 5. Novice A itself was in the midst of a little bit of a funk and we had to start against the local team early Friday morning.

Leading up to the final game Novice A had their sites set on the championship. The opponent Sarnia Sting was undefeated and after beating their semi final opponent 9-0 had only allowed one goal in the whole tournament. The task looked daunting.
