Registration – Returning Members Tips

Online Registration Tips:

Please note that registration is completed through Hockey Canada (Spordle). As a result, CMHA does not have access to your login credentials or passwords. If you need help accessing your account, please use the password recovery tools provided by Hockey Canada.

  1. Returning Account: If you registered online last season, your Hockey Canada account remains the same. Your login is your email address. If you have multiple email addresses, please try all possible ones used previously before creating a new account.
    If your email has changed, log in using your old address, then update it under “My Account.”
  2. Forgot Your Password? Enter your login email and click “Forgot your password.” The reset instructions will be emailed to the same address. If you no longer have access to that email, please contact the CMHA office for assistance.
  3. Existing Player Information: If your child has played organized hockey in the past, they are already in the Hockey Canada system. When registering, you’ll need your child’s:
    • First and last name
    • Date of birth
    • Gender

    If your child’s record isn't found, try common variations. The system requires an exact match:

    • Name Variations:
      • Michael vs. Mike
      • Middle name instead of legal first name (or vice versa)
      • St. John vs. St John
      • D’Agostino vs. Dagostino
      • McGregor vs. Mc Gregor
      • Nicknames included (e.g., Andrew “AJ”)
    • Birth Date Variations:
      • Month and day reversed (e.g., 03/08/1993 vs. 08/03/1993)
      • Incorrect birth year

      Important: If you discover an incorrect birth year, do not proceed with registration. Contact the hockey office to correct it before continuing. We will submit the request to the OMHA and notify you once it’s resolved.

    If you are still unable to register after these steps, please contact the CMHA office for further assistance.

  4. Required Fields: You must complete all fields marked with an asterisk (*) before proceeding to the next step.
  5. Payment Issues: Some users experience a “lock-out” error during the payment process if:
    • They take too long entering credit card details, or
    • They click “Cancel” instead of “Submit”

    If this happens, please wait one hour for the system to reset and then try again.
