CMHA has established the following criteria for any player wishing to tryout for an older age group:
This criteria is for U10 to U18. No movement for U7/U8/U9
Forward: Must be an all-around higher skill level or equal skill level to the top 3 forwards in that age group.
Defenseman: Must be an all-around higher skill level or equal skill level to the top 2 defenseman in that age group.
Goaltender: Must be an all-around higher skill level or equal skill level to the top goalie in that age group.
A maximum of 3 underage players can be on one team.
Moving a player or goalie up an age group also depends on the numbers at their age group.
The VP Rep will be evaluating with the help of 2 independent coaches not related to that age group.
