Minor Atom AA, 2015-2016, REP (Caledon Minor Hockey Association)

Congratulations to the Caledon Hawks Minor Atom AA kids on finishing as OMHA Finalists! They battled thru 4 series, 18 games, 6 overtimes and almost 2-1/2 months of gruelling playoff action. With all the kids taking turns with the heroics the team managed to pull through the first three series before succumbing to the Finalist winners Kingston Canadians.

The Minor Atom AA kids had been playing extremely well going into the tournament and had a championship as their goal. Although they didn't reach their goal this time and succumbed to defeat in the Semi Finals they can be proud of their run and look forward to the challenge of an OMHA run.

Congratulations to the kids on a hard fought tournament and bringing back home the Guelph PowerPlay  championship!

The kids were set up with a tough schedule for the Oshawa Cup. Although disappointed with not making the semi final in the 10 team event, showed great fight in the tournament. That surely will prepare them well going forward.

The first Tournament of the year saw some pretty stiff competition ahead of the kids, that included some past OMHA winners and elite teams. The kids were playing well going in from their previous exhibition games, but this could prove to be a good test for where they were at.
