Guelph PowerPlay Champions!
Congratulations to the kids on a hard fought tournament and bringing back home the Guelph PowerPlay championship!
The tournament started Friday morning with a 5-1 victory over the Hamilton Huskies. Next up was a close 2-1 victory over the Woodstock Jr Navy Vets. Saturday morning they versed the Richmond Hill Stars. A good battle ensued and saw the game end in a 1-1 tie. The fourth game the Hawks had to battle back to take it 4-3 against Centre Wellington Fusion.
The Minor Atom AA kids finished the regulation round in 2nd place with a 3-0-1 record. Setting up a rematch with the Stars. This time the Hawks would prevail 4-1 in a well played affair. In the finals they went up against the Dundas Blues and the game was a great battle of the two top teams. Caledon won in dramatic fashion 5-4 taking the Championship. A Great effort by all the kids!
