Dear Players, Parents, and Sponsors,
I hope this letter finds you all well and enjoying the start of the new hockey season.
As the head coach of the U11B team for the Caledon Minor Hockey League (CMHA) for the 2024-2025 season.
I wanted to take a moment to extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you.
Firstly, to the players, your dedication and enthusiasm this season will be truly inspiring. Each practice and game will be a testament to your hard work and commitment to improving your skills. I am incredibly proud of the progress you'll make and the way you'll come together as a team. Your energy and passion will make coaching a rewarding experience, and I am excited to work with you to reach new heights.
To the parents, thank you for your unwavering support and encouragement. Your involvement and positive attitude will play a crucial role in the development and success of our team. I truly appreciate the trust you'll place in me to guide your children, and I am grateful for the constructive feedback and support you'll provide throughout the season. It is evident that we share a common goal: to see our players grow both on and off the ice.
A special thank you to our sponsors. Your generous support will be instrumental in making this season possible. Your contributions help ensure that our players have the resources they need to develop their skills and enjoy the game we all love. Your commitment to the community and youth sports is deeply valued, and we are incredibly grateful for your partnership.
As many of you know, my coaching philosophy centers around teaching respect, hard work, and teamwork. I believe that we win and lose together as a unit, and I strive to approach each player with guidance and support in a constructive manner. The focus will always be on learning, developing, and having fun, and I am dedicated to being a positive role model and influence in our players' lives.
With my experience in coaching and convening at the U11 HL level, I am confident in our ability to organize effective practices and select players who show potential for success. The positive feedback I’ve received from both parents and other coaches reaffirms that we are on the right path, and I am committed to continuing this journey with the same passion and dedication. Thank you once again for being an integral part of this season. Together, as a team and community, we can achieve great things. I look forward to the rest of the season and all the moments we will share on and off the ice.
Warm regards,
Coach Kevin Johnston Head Coach,
