Rowan's Law

For 2021-22 registration this form has been included in the HCR registration under mandatory list of forms that the parent/guardian are required to sign.

As of July 1st, 2019 the Ontario government is implementing “Rowan’s Act”; a concussion awareness law that requires all participants (or at least one parent of a player under the age of 18) to complete the Ontario Hockey Federation Acknowledgement Form, before their child may participate in this season. This has become a legislative requirement under the implementation of Rowan’s Law by the Government of Ontario.

Respect in Sport (RIS) Parent Education Program (for New Registrants to the Caledon Minor Hockey/OMHA)

In an ongoing effort to foster a safe and enjoyable environment for our athletes, the OMHA has implemented a plan to ensure that they are a complete "Respect" integrated organization.  The "Respect in Hockey" initiative requires that at least one parent or guardian of each player registered (under the age of 18) must complete the, one-hour (approx. $12 per family), online course, as a condition of their child's participation.  Please see Respect in Sport link under the registration tab.

The Respect in Sport Activity Leader program and/or SpeakOut (required for coaches/trainers/managers/on-ice helpers) is NOT a substitute for the RIS Parent Program.
