Submitted By Vanda Slaney on Monday, February 4, 2019
The 2018-19 hockey season will soon wrap up. This season, we had teams in House League, RS Select, MD and Rep. Please read  further about the CMHA awards...

The CMHA Executive would like to hear from the parents, the people who are in the rinks week after week. Please submit Your nominations to the CMHA office [email protected] In the Subject of the email please put NOMINATION… (INDICATE WHICH AWARD) The nomination should include their name, team affiliation & age division (e.g. Tyke), or role they played in the league, and what it was that they did that struck you as worthy of such an honour. Deadline for nominations is February 28th, 2019...

All the behind-the-scenes work is carried out by our Volunteers –the Coaches, the On-ice help, to those who help organize activities, events, and the Executive. The league relies on the hours given by all of these people; those who roll up their sleeves and give their time to ensure our children can participate in minor hockey. Proudly, the league has awards to annually recognize these volunteers in the House League, MD and Rep MD programs.

Mom of the Year Award is an award in  Honour of a Great Hockey Mom. It aims to recognize a mother who plays an important roll to make a Fun Hockey Environment for the Team Staff, Parents, Children and Players.

Volunteer of the Year Award is to recognize the outstanding commitment and significant contributions a person has given to the organization, team and game of hockey.

Spirit of Hockey Award is given to the person who provides positive experience that encourages the children to develop as hockey players, and individuals.

BOB HUTCHINSON AWARD (Rep Coach of the Year)

ROB DEIBERT AWARD (Minor Development Coach of the Year)

SERGE DROE AWARD (House League Coach of the Year)

The awards listed for Coach of Year is to recognize the coach who has made an impact both on and off the ice with all who have worked with them throughout the year. They have demonstrated dedication and respect for all aspects to the game of hockey while ensuring every player has a great experience.
