Dave Volpe

Rise N Grind trainer David Volpe grew up in Bolton, beginning his minor hockey career in Caledon before moving on to AAA with the Mississauga Senators and Toronto Red Wings. He went on to play Junior A with the North York Rangers, Brampton Capitals, Cornwall Colts, and Wellington Dukes, before competing at the university level with the Guelph Gryphons from 2005–2010, where he was a consistent top scorer.
After graduating, David continued his playing career professionally with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL and attended main camp with the Adirondack Phantoms of the AHL. He later combined his hockey experience with his academic background, earning a Bachelor of Education and pursuing a career as a Physical Education teacher in the Peel District School Board.
David has continued to give back to the game through coaching, running hockey camps, and leading development sessions across the GTA, bringing both passion and teaching expertise to players of all ages.
