Important Notes:

For players to attend the Preskates and Evaluations they must be registered for the 2023-2024 Season.

There is no fee for U18 Preseason skates. Online registration is required prior to attending. Players can register for any one, two or all three preseason skates.

The fee for each level of evaluations is $60.  Registration and online payment are required prior to the first skate at each level.

Evaluations are not to be used by players as extra ice time.  Attendance at evaluations indicates that the player intends to accept a roster spot if selected.  Coaches require the evaluation time allotted to thoroughly assess the players, and players deserve the full opportunity to maximize participation so that evaluations are fairly conducted.  It is unfair to both coaches and aspiring players if additional participants distract from this process.

Full equipment including mouthguard is required for all preseason and evaluation skates.

It is helpful for player identification to wear a jersey with a clear name and number on it.

Evaluation Format 2023

AA Evaluations

All current AA players and A players are invited to attend the AA evaluations. Any players from former AE now BB and House League players have the option to attend the AA evaluations.

A Evaluations

All players that are released from the AA team and players from former AE now BB are invited to attend the A evaluations. House League players have the option to attend the A evaluations.

BB Evaluations

All Players that are released from the A team are invited to attend the BB evaluations. House League players have the option to attend the BB evaluations.

The Caledon Minor Hockey Association reserves the right to add/remove teams at any level based on the following factors:

a)       Registration numbers

b) Number of or skill level of players who attend tryouts

c)       Direction of OMHA or Tri-County

Every effort will be made to field as many representative hockey teams as possible this season.

In the event that the number of teams in a division is decreased, the coach selected for the higher level team would have the first right of refusal to coach a team (i.e. if a division is scheduled to have AA, A and BB teams, and in the event that we are only able to field AA and BB teams, the A coach who was selected would be given the option to coach the BB team and coach initially selected to the BB team would be placed in the general coaching pool and on the Coach At Large roster for future consideration.

Good luck to all and have a great 2023-24 season!
