The CMHA is looking for the following Volunteers:
Hockey at the Minor level rely on Volunteers to help with running a successful organization. People choose to volunteer for a variety of reasons. Some people do it because offers them a chance to give back to the Community, others because of the involvement with a family member. It also provides an opportunity for some people to develop new skills or build on existing experiences or knowledge.
The Caledon Minor Hockey Association is in urgent need for the following Volunteer Positions..
CONVENORS: A Convenor is chosen for each age group within the houseleague. They are the go between person for Team Coaches and the Vice President of Houseleague. They maintain the rosters of all the teams in the Houseleague and relay any rules, messages that the Board need to communicate to the teams. If interested email: [email protected]
TEAM OFFICIALS – The CMHA require Houseleauge team officials for all age groups. East team requires a Coach and Trainer. Both require qualifications outlined by the OMHA in order to develop the participants. These qualifications are reimbursed by the organization once you have completed. The Coach is responsible for the communication to the parent and children and the development of the children. The trainer is responsible to ensure all the children have the right equipment and if injury occurs to see the children are looked at immediately. If interceded email: [email protected]
EQUIPMENT MANAGER - You will report to the Vice President of Houseleague. Responsible of your duties include maintenance, repair, inventory, transportation, storage, cleaning, and replacing the equipment. If interceded email: [email protected]
DIRECTOR OF SPONSORSHIP - This is not a Board of Director position. You will report to the President of the the CMHA.
Hockey sponsorship is needed to maintain a lower cost of registration for our membership. It also helps in offsetting the cost of: uniforms (jerseys & socks, goalie equipment ), ice-time, training equipment, officials and development program for our players and coaches. Community sponsors typically come from within our participating membership and the relationships they may have within their business community. Your responsibility will be to approach the companies and organizations throughout Caledon requesting sponsorship. Keeping the sponsor up to date on the goings of the league throughout the season. TREASURER – This is a Board Position. You will report to the President of the League. Adhere to and implement financial policies in the financial administration of the Association. Submission of the books of account to the Auditor of the Association at year end. Present the report and projected financial position at the Annual General meetings. Evaluate, review and recommend financial policies. This person must have knowledge in accounting.
