The Caledon Hawks Minor Midget AE Rep Hockey Team spent a
great day on Saturday September 13th organizing and holding a
practice for the Caledon Hawks Tyke 1 Hockey Team. The Minor Midget Hawks
invited the Tykes to the practice to help develop their skills through on ice
drills designed by the older boys. The Tykes then were able to participate in
off- ice dryland exercises, again designed and organized by the Minor Midget
players.

It was a wonderful experience for both teams as the Minor Midget players were able to provide mentorship to the Tyke players, while the Tyke players were able to see and learn from the skills of the Minor Midget players. Minor Midget Coach Mark Eggengoor commented, “ I am proud of our boys as they spent a lot of time putting the exercises together, and they really got a lot out of seeing their hard work enjoyed by the little fellas. I saw a lot of smiling faces out there so I know everyone had fun!”
Sponsors BMO, McCarron’s Feeds and Needs, Key To Life Financial Services Inc., and Salisbury Garden Supplies support the Minor Midget AE Hawks in their season development and training. The team certainly is grateful for their support.
