Caledon Hawks Tyke Team Wins the Bob Giroux Tournament
It was a great weekend for our Tyke Team who displayed great determination and elevated their level of play each and every game and earning an undefeated tournament record.
During round robin play our boys tied the first game versus Cooksville 4-4. The second game of the round robin saw our boys edging out the Halton Hills Thunder by a score of 4-2. The final of the round robin games saw the boys defeat the Brampton 45s 3-2.
They faced Brampton again in the semi finals and came out strong scoring four goals in the first seven minutes of play and ultimately winning the semi-final game 7-1.
The Final game was a re-match of the first round robin game once again facing Cooksville. This entertaining game saw both undefeated teams play one another once again. Both teams played a great game with the Hawks winning by a score of 4-2.
The coaching staff is very proud of the hard work, determination and team work of the collective group and congratulates each and every one of them on a well deserved tournament win.
